EMP Event / Hopi-Tibetan Prophecy

Date: 01-30-12
Host: George Noory
Guests: William R. Forstchen, Kymberlee Ruff
In the first half, history professor William R. Forstchen discussed the potential damage rendered by an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) event, and what we can to do prepare for the possibility. There are actually two kinds of potentials for generating an EMP, military or solar, he explained. A nuclear fission weapon, such as Iran or North Korea are currently developing, that is detonated about 250 miles above the Earth's atmosphere would trigger electrostatic discharge, striking the Earth's surface and overloading the power grid and knocking it out, he detailed. The Soviets conducted an EMP test in 1962, and a power plant 500 miles away from the center of the detonation burst into flames, because of the EMP overload that fed into the transmission lines, he cited.
Just a few days ago, we were hit by the largest solar storm in five years, and NASA & NOAA have predicted a significantly increased solar storm cycle over the next 18 months, Forstchen noted. A large enough coronal mass ejection (CME) from the sun could generate a global-wide EMP event, particularly in the northern and southern latitudes. The "Carrington Event" of 1859 blew out telegraph lines, and the "energy output was so intense that railroad ties were bursting into flames," he said. Forstchen advocates congressional action to protect America's grid, such as put forth by Cong. Roscoe Bartlett.
----------------------------------------

In the latter half, psychotherapist Kymberlee Ruff shared the Hopi-Tibetan prophecy, a separate and distinct prophecy created from the similarities of the two culture's prophecies. The first activation of the prophecy began when a Tibetan Lama came to Hopi lands in Arizona in 1974, and the second activation had to do with Ruff's son, who was visited by Tibetan Lamas in Santa Barbara in 2001. They told her he was a reincarnation of one of their Lamas. Tibetan Ven. Bhakha Tulku Rinpoche gave her son a rock with ancient writing on it. Later, she delivered the rock to the Hopi Indians' Grandfather Martin Gashweseoma, the "Keeper of the Sacred Tablets of the Fire Clan," she recounted.
The message on the rock, written in Sanskrit, loosely translates as "compassion," which is the key to the Hopi-Tibetan prophecy, she said. Bringing this "dharma" to the Hopis, helps "restore the amazingness of the Hopi so they can set the tone for the world," she explained. As we approach Dec. 21, 2012, "it's going to get more and more intense," but after that date, things are going to turn around and get better, she continued. Ruff also talked about "the Lost City of the Dead in the Grand Canyon." In 1909, on a mission for the Smithsonian, G.E. Kincaid was said to find a statue of the Buddha in a cave hidden under the Grand Canyon, she reported.

Coast to Coast AM - 2012.01.29 - The Travis Walton Encounter

The Travis Walton Encounter

The Travis Walton Encounter

Date: 01-29-12
Host: George Knapp
Guests: Travis Walton, Yvonne Smith
In this 4-hour special, George Knapp welcomed Travis Walton, who discussed his 1975 UFO abduction, chronicled in the book Fire in the Sky. He was joined by Steve Pierce and John Goulette, who both witnessed the abduction, as well as UFO abduction expert Yvonne Smith, who founded the Close Encounters Resource Organization. Smith pointed out that the Walton case is unprecedented in the annals of abduction research, since it is bolstered by numerous eyewitnesses who saw the event unfold and, subsequently, all passed polygraph tests regarding what happened. This overwhelming amount of strong evidence, she said, is why the case continues to be discussed and examined over 30 years later.
In detailing his UFO encounter, Walton explained how his perspective on the event has changed over the last three decades. "At the time, I accepted the terminology 'abduction,'" he said, since it had felt like a kidnapping. However, Walton observed, in recent years he has begun to consider a different reason for why the events unfolded. He theorized that his extremely close encounter with the ship may have injured him in such a way that the only chance for his survival was via treatment from the occupants of the craft, especially since medical help was over an hour away. "In hindsight, 35 years later, I think it probably was just an attempt to help," he mused.
Walton also recalled how he actually dealt with two types of beings during his stay aboard the craft. The first, he said, were diminutive humanoids that had large, hairless heads and huge eyes. However, he later encountered human-like beings that "looked so much like us, they could be from Earth." Since he did not see them interact with each other, Walton could not surmise who was in charge aboard the ship, but noted that the small dimensions of the craft made it look like the 'humans' were out of place there. He was mystified that in all of the accounts of his experience in the media, including the film, the human-like beings are never mentioned. He speculated that this is because the presence of these 'humans' on the ship is too disconcerting for people to discuss.
Regarding the aftermath of the abduction, Goulette remembered being hounded by a police deputy during Walton's disappearance and continually being prodded to "just tell me where the body is." Additionally, Pierce claimed that, once the abduction story became known, notorious UFO debunker Philip Klass offered him $10,000 to say that the event was a hoax. Following the media firestorm which surrounded the story, both Pierce and Goulette quickly distanced themselves from the case. To that end, Goulette expressed deep regret in not doing more over the last 30 years to help Walton defend the truth of what happened. Similarly, Pierce noted that he "ran from" the event and only began embracing his role in the historic case after his daughter saw the film and was skeptical that he was really involved in the story.

Coast to Coast AM - 2012.01.27 - Chemtrails & Morgellons / Open Lines

Chemtrails & Morgellons / Open Lines

Chemtrails & Morgellons / Open Lines

Date: 01-27-12
Host: Rob Simone
Guests: Clifford Carnicom, Open Lines
Filling in for George Noory, Rob Simone ( email) welcomed independent researcher Clifford Carnicom in the first half of the program for an exposé on the profound impact of chemtrails. Clifford said he prefers the term 'aerosol' in lieu of 'chemtrail,' as the former is more accurate in describing the introduction of particulate matter into the air. "Our environment has been altered," he stated unequivocally, noting how the Earth's atmosphere has been modified by the "largest covert operation that has ever been conducted on this planet." Carnicom explained that the ubiquitous aerosol streaks in the sky are part of a multi-pronged program, which includes environmental modification and control, biological and electromagnetic operations, military  applications, geophysical considerations, advanced light-wave surveillance, and detection of ionic disturbances (i.e., UFO propulsion systems).

According to Carnicom, the health of the entire global population has been affected to a significant degree by these aerosols. It has been strongly established that barium salts are in the airborne particulate matter, he continued. Soluble salts of barium are highly toxic, with the level of toxicity matching arsenic, he added. Carnicom also reported on a baffling ailment known as Morgellons disease, a condition he described as characterized by skin lesions and the presence of unusual filaments. He revealed that many people could be suffering from Morgellons but show no outward signs because the filaments are internal. Carnicom commented on a recent CDC report that dismissed the condition as the product of mentally unstable and delusional minds, and pointed out some issues he had with the study's methodology.

Open Lines:

During Friday night's Open Lines, Mike, a former private pilot living in Arizona, asserted that three commercial airline pilots have confirmed to him the reality of chemtrails. According to Mike, the chemtrails he has witnessed spread from horizon to horizon, filling the sky in a dense crisscross pattern that eventual ushers in cirrus clouds. Mike said he has conducted his own air sample tests and detected barium as well as very fine aluminum powder. A caller to the 'insider hotline' suggested that a chemical additive, with antifreeze and antibacterial properties, put into aircraft fuel tanks at refueling could be to blame for chemtrail sightings. Barry, a retired biochemist from South Carolina, recalled visiting his pharmaceutical company's headquarters in the 1970s to find researchers there working on a large-scale secret project to inoculate humans from various diseases by spraying chemical concoctions into the atmosphere from planes.

Full Show http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58vn30teMaE

Mutilations, UFOs, NDAA, & GMO Foods

Date: 01-26-12
Host: George Noory
Guests: Linda Moulton Howe, Joshua P. Warren
Investigative reporter Linda Moulton Howe discussed horse mutilations that occurred in Jan. 2011 in England, a large aerial craft and missing time that several witnesses experienced in Utah during Dec. 2011, the issues for Americans in regards to the National Defense Authorization Act, and the dangers of genetically modified crops to humans and animals. Her first report delved into 4 black stallion mutilations in southwestern England, where eyes and body parts were removed with bloodless excisions. The police have been trying to repress the incidents and telling media the deaths were from "natural causes" and predation. She spoke with Tanya Ingram, the owner of the third mutilated horse, who suggested the police were trying to cover-up the incidents. She also described seeing strange balls of light in the sky above their pasture in 2009; the next day her neighbor reported that three goats had gone missing. More here.
Linda interviewed "C.A.," a 30-year-old woman who was driving south on I-15 from Ogden, Utah, on December 13, 2011. A sudden, intense headache forced her to pull over to the highway's shoulder. The next moment she opened her eyes and was shocked by bright blue, orange-gold and white lights in front of her on a large aerial craft hovering over the road. Confused about what was happening, she got out to take cell phone photos, where other cars had stopped. C.A. said she and the other drivers could not start their cars and realized they were on Legacy Parkway west of Bountiful and not on I-15, and had no idea how the physical re-location had taken place. She did not reach her home until 3:30 AM, nearly an hour later than she was expected. Further details and photos here.
In her third report, Linda sought out reactions to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which Obama signed into law on New Year's Eve. With its passage, Americans could be subject to detention under military authority instead of the American legal system. Christopher Anders, Senior Legal Counsel with the ACLU, cited one of the problems with the statute was that it does not tell you who is making the decision in an individual case. "So it says that the president has this authority, but it's not saying is it the president alone who makes this decision. Is it people in the military itself? Is it civilians in the military? Is it government bureaucrats somewhere?," he questioned. Harvard Professor Mark Tushnet told Linda he thought the Act was both "unnecessary and dangerous." Further info.
Hard evidence is mounting that genetically modified crops (GMOs) are dangerous to animals and humans that eat them. Yet, Monsanto got Obama Administration approval to distribute another GMO corn. Linda spoke with Jeffrey M. Smith, director of the Institute for Responsible Technology, who has documented health risks from genetically engineered foods. He noted that in the November election in California, there's a possible ballot initiative for the mandatory labeling of GMOs. This could be a game changer, he said, if the initiative gets on the ballot and passes, as it's been found that most Americans would avoid GMOs if they saw the label. More.

Spiritual Vision

First hour guest, paranormal investigator Joshua P. Warren presented his idea that in 2012, humanity is shifting into a phase where we'll be more aligned to the spirit realm, which has been out-of-phase with us for the last 2,000 to 3,000 years. During this transition period, humans are evolving their third or psychic eye, and will increasingly be aware of spirit-type beings among us, he continued.

Coast to Coast AM - 2012.01.25 - Reincarnation Research

Reincarnation Research

Reincarnation Research

Date: 01-25-12
Host: George Noory
Guests: Walter Semkiw, Daniel Durda
Walter Semkiw MD discussed his work on reincarnation, and past lives, featured on the new IISIS.net website. IISIS is a nonprofit dedicated to reincarnation research and in particular, to disseminating the work of Dr. Ian Stevenson, who spent 40 years traveling around the world, documenting children who had spontaneous memories of previous lives. One of Stevenson's case studies involved a girl named Uttara Huddar from central India, whose past life personality was a woman named Sharada who at times would take over Uttara's consciousness and speak in Bengali, while Uttara only spoke Marathi. The phenomenon of people speaking in a language entirely unknown to them is called xenoglossy, and was present in a number of Stevenson's cases, Semkiw detailed.
One of Stevenson's intriguing findings was that if someone had a stab or bullet wound in a previous incarnation, they might have a birthmark or scar in that same spot. Semkiw described the fascinating case of a skeptical police Captain named Robert Snow who underwent a past life regression on a dare, and uncovered startling memories of being a portrait painter in the 19th century. By coincidence, he ran across one of the paintings he specifically recalled of a hunchback woman, at an art gallery in New Orleans, and found out the name of the artist was Carroll Beckwith. Further details on the case here.
Semkiw has spent nearly a decade working with a spiritual entity channeled by Kevin Ryerson named Atun-Re, who claims to be an ancient Egyptian priest. Atun-Re has confirmed various reincarnational matches to him, including David Rittenhouse as Carl Sagan, Charles Thomson as Ralph Nader, Rev. William Walter as Neale Donald Walsch, and Laurel & Hardy as the Bacher brothers. Semkiw contends that in many cases of reincarnation, the two parties share a strong resemblance in their facial features. According to Atun-Re, "the soul projects an energy template or hologram into the developing body and...the physical body shapes around it," he explained.

Near Earth Asteroids

First hour guest, planetary scientist Daniel Durda talked about Near Earth asteroids. Spaceguard (UK) and NASA's Near Earth Object Program are involved in identifying objects that are a potential threat to our planet. The asteroid Apophis which passes close to Earth in 2029 will be closely watched, as on its "resonant return" in 2036, there is a slim chance it could impact Earth. With enough warning, we could actually nudge an asteroid out of our path, he said, noting that one possible method is using a "gravity tracker," which would hover near the surface of the object, and alter its course.

Coast to Coast AM - 2012.01.24 - SETI & Astronomy

SETI & Astronomy

SETI & Astronomy

Date: 01-24-12
Host: George Noory
Guests: Seth Shostak, Tim Ralston
Astronomer Seth Shostak discussed his continued work in the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI), the nature of possible alien life forms, and various astronomy topics. The Allen Telescope Array, which lost funding last year, is now back up and running through private donations, and is once again listening for signals, he reported. SETI's method is to connect radio telescopes to computers which scan for intelligent or artificial signals. If anything unusual comes up, other scientists are contacted to see if they can reproduce the effect, he outlined.
Interestingly, in the 1920s, Mars was a little closer to Earth than it normally is, and it was suggested that all radio transmitters be turned off, so that people could listen for Martian signals. This was during the era when it was believed that canals existed on Mars, as declared by astronomer Percival Lowell, but he was actually seeing an optical illusion when he made that observation, Shostak explained.
Beyond the Allen Array, other projects in the works include LOFAR, a low frequency antenna array being built in Holland and Germany, that will allow for studying the sky in low frequency ranges, and the Square Kilometer Array, a European initiative that will cover a large distance. Shostak will be involved in the upcoming conference Seticon, this June 22-24th, and also hosts a weekly podcast called Big Picture Science.

Survival "Prepper"

First hour guest, Tim Ralston, who's launching a business with his survival inventions, is featured in the new TV series, Doomsday Preppers. He talked about possible scenarios in which parts of the US could get knocked off the grid for long periods, and advised people to move away from large population centers to small rural areas that are more sustainable. Having some kind of water filtration system is important, he said, recommending products made by HTI.

2012 & Prophecy

2012 & Prophecy

Date: 01-23-12
Host: George Noory
Guests: John Hogue, Robert Shapiro
Prophecy & occult expert John Hogue shared his predictions for 2012, a year that he foresees to be filled with change and tumultuous events. He also reviewed his prediction that 2011 would be the "year of 12 catastrophes," and cited various calamities like tornadoes and floods that fulfilled this. 2012 "is the year when the people push back," and we'll see millions of people taking to the street to protest all over the world, particularly in the spring and summer. This global middle class movement/awakening against the corporate aristocracy and suppression of democracy will be particularly strong in Asia, and the Middle East, but will also be felt in the US, he detailed.
In February, as Neptune moves into Pisces for a long period, 2012 will show itself to be one of the most irrationally based years, with people driven by emotions, and gut reactions, he commented. Hogue foresees a large quake on the west coast of America or Mexico, most likely during the July-September time frame, and it will be associated with either a new or full moon. Volcanic eruptions will be more of a problem in 2012 than quakes, he noted, adding that solar flares probably won't be an issue until 2013.
He doesn't believe the Mayan calendar relates much to this year-- the galactic alignment they spoke of actually occurred back in 1998, he calculated. Economically, he suggested that the US will absorb the European crises, and unemployment will actually go down one percentage point, which will help Obama win re-election (though there could be a strong showing by a third party candidate such as Ron Paul). Hogue said Europe wasn't going to fare well, with the EU possibly sloughing off Greece, Spain, and Italy from their monetary system, and some countries in the union going into deep depression.

Robert Shapiro in Studio

First hour guest, attorney Robert Shapiro appeared in studio, talking about his work with the Brent Shapiro Foundation for Drug Awareness, as well as his legal career, and representation of public figures. He doesn't believe that law enforcement particularly targets celebrities; it's just that when they cross the law, their cases are publicized immediately. In terms of picking out an attorney, one suggestion he made was to go to a courthouse and watch how they perform.

Big Oil & Corporate Vultures

Big Oil & Corporate Vultures

Date: 01-22-12
Host: George Knapp
Guests: Greg Palast
Muckraker and investigative journalist Greg Palast joined George Knapp for inside details on stories that American media doesn't report, including revelations on Big Oil, and financial "vultures" who use shady practices for mega-profits. He uncovered that two years before the BP/Deepwater Horizon disaster in the Gulf, a similar incident happened to BP in the Caspian Sea off Azerbaijan, indicating that they were well aware of such drilling problems. BP covered up the incident by bribing Azerbaijani officials, and flying them to London for lap dances, he detailed.
Palast referred to a number of former Soviet republics as having become the "Islamic Republics of BP," where oil companies have come in and given ruling families enormous sums. "The oil companies know very well that the money just disappears into these holes, and that's part of the game-- that's how they get cheap oil contracts through winking and nodding at the looting of the oil money," he said, noting that the citizens of these countries don't see any of the money, and remain poor. Interestingly, countries such as Brazil that didn't play along with the oil companies, are doing well economically, he pointed out.
In the Exxon Valdez incident of 1989, BP was actually in charge of emergency equipment and procedures in the event of a ship running aground in the Arctic, but they didn't spend the money following through on it, and then ended up lying about it, Palast charged. What BP learned in Alaska, is that they could get away with lying, and that's what they proceeded to do in the Gulf spill, he continued, adding that BP has only paid out 1/10th of the amount they promised for clean-up and settlements. Generally, oil companies have found that it's easier to cover-up oil spills with cash, and PR campaigns than to actually clean up the spills once they happen, he observed.

Coast to Coast AM - 2012.01.19 - Paranormal Theories - Extended Mind

Paranormal Theories - Extended Mind

Paranormal Theories - Extended Mind

Date: 01-19-12
Host: George Noory
Guests: Rupert Sheldrake, Darryl Caterine
In the first half, Prof. Darryl Caterine talked about theories and patterns of the paranormal, as well as his journeys to study various groups such as spiritualists at Lily Dale, dowsers in Vermont, and UFO believers in Roswell, which provided him with a sampling of different perspectives. He was impressed by the mediums at Lily Dale (whose spiritualist tradition got its start in the 19th century), as a number of them gave him very specific information about his father who had passed away 25 years ago. Regarding dowsers, he's found that their effectiveness has to do with their connection to the target, and the individual devices they use amplify the perceived signals picked up by their mind or body.
Ufology,a phenomenon that began in the 20th century, seems to be based on the concept that believing is seeing, rather than seeing is believing, he commented. Caterine believes that modern society is headed toward a post-human future, and the paranormal points toward a new mythology forming before our eyes, as we merge with machines and technology. He also highlighted the importance of Native American ghosts. "On a very deep level modern America is haunted by the fate and the history of the Native Americans," he said.
--------------------------------

In the latter half, former director of studies in biochemistry and cell biology at Clare College, Cambridge University, Rupert Sheldrake, discussed his work on the extended mind and human intuitive abilities including telephone telepathy, and how dogs know their owners are coming home. His telephone telepathy experiment involved having a subject give the experimenters four different friends' phone numbers; then the experimenters randomly chose one of the people to call the subject, who tried to predict which one it would be. In repeated trials, the correct hits averaged around 45%, which was far higher than the 25% chance rate, he detailed. For more on the experiment, see this video report.
Sheldrake suggested that such phenomena may arise out of morphic fields-- intention, thoughts, and memories that extend out past the mind, and can be picked up by others, including animals. His study of dogs that know when their owner is coming home revealed that the pets wait by the window 4% of the time when the owner is not home, and 60% of the time when the owner is about to return. Further, he spoke about an African gray parrot named N'Kisi who seems to demonstrate telepathy, and has a 1,500 word vocabulary. Sheldrake also touched on a disturbing 2008 incident, when a Japanese man knifed him in the leg when he was speaking at a conference. It turned out that the man suffered from mental illness and thought Sheldrake was sending him telepathic messages to kill himself, so he attacked him out of "self defense."

Coast to Coast AM - 2012.01.18 - Natl. Def. Authorization Act Special

Natl. Def. Authorization Act Special

Natl. Def. Authorization Act Special

Date: 01-18-12
Host: George Noory
Guests: Linda Moulton Howe, Alex Jones, Jonathan Emord, David Seaman, Tyrel Ventura, Gerald Celente, Allan Palmer
In a special program, George Noory was joined by Linda Moulton Howe to interview four guests, who appeared in individual half-hour segments, about the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) of 2012, which contains controversial provisions such as the holding of suspects without due process or habeas corpus. Jonathan Emord, who practices constitutional and administrative law, believes the NDAA is unconstitutional in that it allows the military to incarcerate individuals indefinitely, without charges or a trial. When this kind of thing happens in secrecy, without judicial check, it's the end of liberty, he commented. Linda noted that the language in the Act doesn't specify whether US citizens might be held under this kind of military authority with their rights suspended.
Independent journalist David Seaman reported that people across the political spectrum who hear about the NDAA are opposed to it, but because of the lack of the mainstream press coverage most Americans remain unaware of it. At this juncture, Congress has no reason to pass this kind of indefinite detention statute, and it raises the question that some hidden motivation is in play, said Linda. Seaman conjectured that the NDAA may eventually be used against Occupy protestors.
Producer Tyrel Ventura, the son of Jesse Ventura, suggested that the NDAA isn't really about fighting terrorism but rather it's to control the populace, in the event of rebellion, possibly related to food or water shortages, or other crises. We live in a corporate dictatorship, and many of these companies have connections to the Defense Dept. and it's in their interests to have a lockdown society, he added. Trends analyst Gerald Celente declared that fascism has come to the US. He believes the NDAA has been put into place because there's going to be "economic martial law," and "bank holidays" which will cause rioting in the streets.
Appearing during the last hour, radio host/filmmaker Alex Jones sounded off on the topic, and related issues. "This is a big wake-up call, and they've been training the military for a long time to arrest citizens and take people to facilities," he said, adding that measures like the NDAA are part of a larger program. For instance, the TSA is now operating checkpoints on highways, and at bus & train stations, and "this is really the seizure by the federal government, and the special interests that have hijacked it, of our entire infrastructure," he said. Jones advised people to stand up against these policies-- "like a bucking bronco, all we've got to do is throw the New World Order off our back."

Atomic Testing Museum

First hour guest, Cmdr. Allan Palmer, director of the Atomic Testing Museum located in Las Vegas, talked about the history of the testing of nuclear weapons, and some of the exhibits at their museum, which include a simulation of an atomic blast in the desert. In March, the museum will open a new exhibit on the secretive Area 51, informed by some of George Knapp's investigative research, he announced.

Coast to Coast AM - 2012.01.17 - Enigmas & Aliens

Enigmas & Aliens

Enigmas & Aliens

Date: 01-17-12
Host: George Noory
Guests: Whitley Strieber, Bev Harris
Author Whitley Strieber, a supporter of alternative concepts through his Unknown Country website, talked about his new non-fiction book Solving the Communion Enigma, and how various anomalous experiences are interrelated. He addressed the recent spate of unusual and mysterious sounds heard in various locations around the world such as Malaysia and Sweden. The roaring noises are possibly connected to earthquake activity, he conjectured, adding that he and his wife Anne recently heard an unexplained trumpet-type sound at their home.
In talking about UFOs, he cited the book Unconventional Flying Objects, by the late NASA scientist Paul Hill, as presenting some particularly convincing case reports such as two Pan Am pilots witnessing objects flying over Chesapeake Bay. Enigmas such as UFOs, crop circles, and close encounters aren't just part of our physical reality but are really "penetrations from another reality...and represent a moment when you come to the shadow line between realities, and this is why we not only see aliens in that context but our own dead," he mused.
Regarding the aliens or visitors, he suggested that rather than communicating with us, "they're changing us...what we're seeing here is a presence which is engaged in a creative process on this planet" that is part of our evolution. Strieber believes that humanity and Earth are part of a larger civilization "which is tending us for whatever reasons. I think it has to do with the creation and schooling of souls," he said.

Election & Voting Issues

First hour guest, researcher Bev Harris discussed the presidential race and voting issues. The only way the public can confirm voting results are authentic is through a transparent process such as paper ballots-- computers and electronic voting machines can't be secured from their own administrators, she commented. The votes also should be tabulated at the precinct in order to preserve the chain of custody-- there were some problems in this regard in the New Hampshire primary, she noted.

Recipes from the Dead & Friday the 13th Open Lines

Date: 01-13-12
Host: George Noory
Guests: Mary Ann Winkowski, Open Lines
In the first half of the program, ghostbuster Mary Ann Winkowski talked about her cookbook of recipes from the dead, Beyond Delicious. She said spirits began giving her recipes from the other side about 30 years ago, when she was clearing the house of a woman who had been baking a nut roll. According to Winkowski, a ghost in the home told her, "They may smell good, but they are terrible. [The owner] makes a horrible nut roll." The spirit then offered her own nut roll recipe, Winkowski added. In another case, she recalled a homeowner lamenting that her aunt passed away before sharing a recipe for gum drop cookies. A ghost in that house offered to summon the departed aunt so she could give her living niece the recipe, Winkowski revealed. Male ghosts are even more insistent about passing on their recipes for steak and barbecue, she noted.
Some of these spirits did not cross over because they felt guilty for never properly passing on their recipes, Winkowski continued. Those interested in getting a special recipe from a departed loved one can ask for it the next time they dream about that person, she suggested. Winkowski also spoke about scary earthbound spirits that can come into homes through energy openings called portals. Unlike ghosts that use the front door to enter a dwelling, spirits that come through portals typically have bad attitudes and cause problems for the residents, she explained. In life they were likely victims of murder or suicide, drug addicts, prisoners, pedophiles, or rapists, she said. The one positive with such spirits is that they can only stay for a day or two, Winkowski noted. She pointed out that portals are actually blown open by the living, and any house were a murder or suicide has taken place probably has one. Winkowski recommended smudging with sage to keep portal spirits at bay.

During Friday the 13th Open Lines, Mia in Chicago recalled a period in her childhood when she was plagued by intense night terrors and her great-grandmother was dying. The night terrors were so severe that a psychiatrist had to be called in, she revealed. Shortly after the passing of her great-grandmother, Mia said she fell down a set of stairs—a fall she believes should have broken her neck. "I felt arms and it felt like my great-grandmother was pushing me up," she explained, noting that she inexplicably ended up safely at the bottom of the stairs and had no more night terrors after that event. Debbie from Toledo, Ohio, phoned in to tell George about a near fatal accident that she had on her way to Detroit. According to Debbie, her vehicle lost control on the snow-covered highway, traveled across several lanes of traffic as it spun in 360s, miraculously missing oncoming cars and semi trucks along the way. Debbie said she is in shock that she is still alive. Ann in Portland, Oregon, offered some advice on telepathy, noting the difference between reading a thought from somebody versus picking up a psychic truth about them.

Coast to Coast AM - 2012.01.12 - Giants & Lost Civilizations

Giants & Lost Civilizations

Giants & Lost Civilizations

Date: 01-12-12
Host: George Noory
Guests: Patrick Chouinard, Dr. John Apsley
Independent researcher Pat Chouinard presented information and theories about an ancient race of giants, as well as lost civilizations and their artifacts. There are numerous cross-cultural references to giants, as well as creation myths that involved them. "I think they were a highly advanced race," and they were said to have a lifespan of hundreds of years, he noted. Mesopotamia and Atlantis were not the first civilizations, "I believe there were hundreds, thousands of civilizations going back to a very very remote and early time in our history," he said. Sanskrit writings of India refer to civilizations that existed hundreds of thousands of years ago, "and I think the giants go back to this time," he continued.
One of the mysteries he's explored concerns the finding of ancient out-of-place Caucasians in such countries as New Guinea, China, and Japan, as well as in North America, far before the Europeans had arrived. Some of these were described as "red haired giants," and the Native Americans have myths about light-skinned giants, called the 'Bright White God,' and Quetzalcoatl, he detailed. Chouinard suspects that this race, which might have been as tall as 15-18 ft., gradually died out from epidemics or other factors.
He talked about the demise of the Atlantean civilization, suggesting that primitive groups that co-existed on the fringes of Atlantis as it was fading, picked up some remnants of their advancements, and eventually rose up to become the historic civilizations that we know from ancient history. Chouinard also spoke about ancient megalithic structures like Gobekli Tepe and Baalbek, as well as the anomalous discovery of the "X Woman of Siberia," in which a finger bone was found that came from a separate, unknown evolutionary line that dated back some 50,000 years.

Fukushima & US Deaths

First hour guest, Dr. John Apsley reported on increased deaths in North America that he believes are associated with the Fukushima catastrophe, and the leaking of radiation. There was a spike in infant mortality rates within the first 10 weeks of the catastrophe in cities across the US, and the radiation contamination likely came through rainfall, he said, adding that infants were particularly susceptible because of their reduced thyroid function. For more, see this page from Apsley.
